Saving Water Partnership

Saving Water PartnershipSaving Water Partnership, a consortium of water purveyors, initiated a project to redesign their website. Customers were having a hard time finding materials about saving water, and the content managers were having a hard time keeping up with changes. The project goal was twofold: first, to allow a Citizen to easily find these water conservation materials, and second, to allow City staff to easily update their content. The solution was to develop a customer-driven interface, built to easily plug into a content management system.   To ensure that the solution was right for their demographics, we interviewed water purveyor representatives and citizens interested in saving water. We held a focus group, which allowed those citizens to recommend how to organize the content in ways that made sense to them.

Project Scope:

To promote more a wide-spread effort to conserve water, representatives of the 19 water districts of Seattle and King County came together to create an education website on water conservation. Highdive conducted focus groups and usability studies to make recommendations on content organization, features, and calls to action.

Audience:

  • Visitors to the website (primary)
  • Representing water utilities in Seattle and King County (secondary)
